Shoppe Hope Urban Post, previously The Shepherd’s Way Thrift Store, has rebranded and relocated to a 2,600 square foot street front space at 501 North Andrews Avenue. The thrift store features men and women’s clothing, one of a kind housewares, and a curated collection of vintage finds including marquee letters, repurposed relics, industrial fixtures from Flagler Village’s resident welder Rusted Jalopy, taxidermy, and designer accessories.
Israel Pagan Jr. (Izzy) Director of Social Enterprise, hand selects every item from a variety of donations, estate liquidations and consignment opportunities throughout South Florida. On the overall vibe of the store, Izzy explains. “We’re going for a vintage industrial boutique feel, and you never know what you can find. Whether it’s a pair of Herman Miller chairs, hundred-year-old Turkish rugs, an Hermés scarf, or your favorite pair of vintage Levi’s, we are constantly surprised by the condition and uniqueness of the items that come through our doors. ”
Eclectic inventory aside, the socially conscious mission of Shoppe Hope Urban Post is central to the brand’s success. Shoppe Hope Urban Post is the social enterprise of Hope South Florida, a 501(c)3 non-profit that has been helping the homeless community throughout South Florida with 100% of Shoppe Hope’s proceeds directly benefiting families in crisis. With specific branches dedicated to education programs [TeachHope], shared meals for the homeless [TasteHope], and 102 units of housing for the homeless [LiveHope], Hope South Florida has positively impacted the local community for over 20 years.
