Where to Hang

Joshua Miller

Being that it's Tuesday, and we're already a few days through the week, we've taken the liberty of picking out some great events to round out or add some spice to what's left of this week. For those Fort Lauderdale poster children that love the 5 mile radius surrounding Las Olas the same way we do, we've got just what you're looking for to keep you slightly buzzed and strategically placed in the spotlight throughout the weekend.

Wednesday Night: Girl Will Be Girls Ladies Night, OLounge

OLounge, 333 East Las Olas

Free drinks from 7 to 9pm, and this week features spring styles from Lilac & Lilies, and pose-striking galore on the YouCeleb purple carpet. Get there early for prime real estate and first dibs on all the single guys.

Thursday Night: Art4Vision Presents Local Visionary: Joshua Miller

Art4Vision Gallery, 1015 East Las Olas Blvd

Free wine at the Art4Vision Gallery, who is committed to bringing awareness, and dare we say life, to the Fort Lauderdale Arts & Culture scene. The first of a 6-week speaker series highlighting Local Visionaries in Fort Lauderdale, Joshua Miller, Executive Director of C&I studios will share his latest independent film project and take Q&A from the audience. Think Inside the Actors Studio meets FAT Village.

Open to the public, kicks off at 7pm.

Friday Night: Museum of Discovery & Science Wine, Spirits, & Culinary Celebration

Museum of Discovery & Science, 401 SW 2nd Street

The Bad News: A food coma is basically inevitable. The Good News: Tickets are still available. Buy them here.

Saturday Night: Invisible Children Presents Kony 2012

C&I Studios, 541 NW 1st Ave

Once you'e had enough boozing for one weekend, and your shame spiral has kicked into overdrive, a socially responsible night at the movies might be just what the doctor ordered. Make Kony famous, and get educated on what's really going down in Uganda.  Add in some live music from Kids & Civilian and you've got instant hipster street cred. Check out their Facebook Page for more info.
