Intersection of Greatness: The Legends Meet In Miami Opens at The Perfect Exposure Gallery
Charles Trainor Jr. Presents His Father’s Photographs of The Beatles, Muhammad Ali, and Elvis Presley
Intersection of Greatness, an exhibit featuring rare photographs of The Beatles, Muhammad Ali, and Elvis Presley debuts with an opening reception at The Perfect Exposure Gallery located at 3519 West Sixth Street Los Angeles, California on Thursday, August 18th, 2011 from 6pm to 9pm.
The photographer, Charles Trainor captured memorable moments of these legends as they passed through Miami Beach during 1950’s and 60’s, a time that proved to be a catalyst to success in all of their careers. As the legends reach their 50th anniversary of fame, Intersection of Greatness celebrates the impact these men made on the world through a unique display of photojournalism.
Trainor’s son, Charles Trainor Jr., in conjunction with the gallery, has curated the show to share his father’s work with fans in a way that honors the contributions these legends have made, as well as, the influence they have had both culturally and politically. “I grew up with these images, photographs of great icons taken when celebrities were accessible. They offer a rare glimpse into a time when the city of Miami and these artists shared the same stage and were coming into their own identity.”
The show runs from August 18th through September 19th, 2011. The Perfect Exposure Gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm. Charles Trainor Jr. also plans to display Intersection of Greatness in Paris during Fall 2011, and Miami Beach in Summer 2012.
